Chesapeake Shepherd & K-9 Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, senior dogs and disabled dogs. We serve the Maryland, D.C., Delaware, and Virginia areas.

The Delaware Humane Association has developed a comprehensive Strategic Plan to guide the organization in achieving its vision of securing a safe environment for all companion animals. Various aspects of the Strategic Plan focus on DHA's efforts to act as a voice for companion animals and to enhance their welfare through the four-fold mission of providing temporary shelter, spay/neuter services, humane education programs, and adoption/placement resources.

Faithful Friends, Wilmington, DE, was founded in 2000, as Citizens for the Protection and Care of Animals, by a group of local animal lovers who believe there is a better way to address the problem of pet homelessness than mass euthanasia.
