Atlanta, GA -- Small Dog Rescue & Humane Society (SDR) is a no-kill, all volunteer-organization dedicated to providing permanent homes for homeless dogs. Most of the dogs in our rescue live at foster homes until adopted. Small Dog Rescue does not receive any funds from local, state or federal agencies. All funding is provided by donations from the public and adoption fees. The standard adoption fee is $250. All dogs adopted from Small Dog Rescue are spayed/ neutered, current on their vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm tested (and treated, if necessary) and placed on heartworm preventative. The adoption fee covers the vet costs and helps pay for major medical treatments such as heartworm treatment, eye surgery and tumor removal for dogs that need such treatment. SDR takes in many dogs that others will not adopt or rescue like senior dogs and abused or un-socialized dogs based on our foster capacity.
