Chesapeake Shepherd & K-9 Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, senior dogs and disabled dogs. We serve the Maryland, D.C., Delaware, and Virginia areas.
Chesterfield United Rescue Education (CURE), Midlothian, VA, is not a shelter, but an organization that pulls dogs from the local shelter and places them in loving foster homes. All dogs are immunized, groomed, spayed/neutered and provided other medical attention. Dogs are on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Adoption fees are $90.00 for dogs, $75.00 for cats. The adopttion fee does not cover the total expenses incurred for dogs and cats but helps the effort to continue pulling animals from a shelter environment and giving them the care they need. K-9 New Life Center is like no other shelter. Dogs are taken in and given their

Pet Rescue Foundation is primarily a sanctuary for special needs homeless animals. Special needs include the elderly, the physically and emotionally abused, and the injured and handicapped. The rescue is located in Western Goochland County equally distant from Charlottesville and Richmond off I-64. We believe there is a home for each of the dogs we take in, and we work to match each dog with an understanding adopter who appreciates the dog's special needs.
